About us
Enxhi Metani, founder of Ania, was born in Albania and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she began her journey into healthcare. After earning her nursing degree from Nova Southeastern University, she started working in intensive cardiovascular critical care in 2018.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Enxhi worked as a travel nurse, serving in hospitals across the country and caring for critically ill patients in COVID ICUs. Throughout this experience, she noticed that, no matter the location, women in healthcare were wearing the same plain scrubs every day. She realized that this lack of individuality often made the demanding work feel even heavier, as it left little room for self-expression or confidence. This realization inspired Enxhi to create Ania.
She envisioned a brand that would empower women by offering scrubs that are not only comfortable but also stylish and confidence-boosting. While balancing long shifts and patient care, she began designing, sourcing fabrics, and developing the brand. For her, Ania represents more than just workwear; it carries the message of “feeling good while doing good.” Enxhi’s goal is to inspire women, whether they are nurses, caregivers, or aspiring entrepreneurs, to embrace their strength and pursue their dreams without letting self-doubt get in the way.
